About This Image

A woman walks her dog at sunset along Crab Cove walkway in Alameda, CA. This walkway is regularly underwater during high tide.

Thanks for the feedback, Alex. I'm not as familiar with the East Bay (heck - anymore and The City is almost a stranger to me!!!). I remember seeing all those wicked-looking wind turbos marching across the hills north of San Jose - kinda scary-looking!

Thanks for your comments. Vicki, those are not wind turbines, they are ship masts. (There is a marina just around the bend.) The walkway can be quite slippery, which explains the need for the railing. Don't need any tide tables though, you can see for yourself if it is worth walking. It is only about 100 yds in length.

Nice shot. Looks like a good place to get some great sunset photos too now that the rain has finally stopped here.

Interesting area, Alex - are those wind turbines in the distance? Hopefully the tide times are posted before one goes walking - looks a bit slippery!
