Egg Sack

I found this kind of sack on my rosemary bush didnt know what it was but I knew it was an egg sack of some kind.

that's a great macro, - we call those "spit bugs", - there is a small green "bug" inside each blob of "spit". we get them on our honeysuckle some years, - we just hose it off with the force of the water pressure from the garden hose.

Is that really an egg sac? What kinf of insect makes those?
