Hi Don, thanks for the nice comments, -- I do know what you mean as feel the same way, -- and would much prefer a nicer setting, plus I'd like to get a "clear shot" at these wonderful birds, minus the poles and wires. Have heard that when there's no wind, the raptors will sit on the telephone poles to get a vantage point to hunt over the fields. But when it's windy, they use the thermals rising over the farmlands to enable them to soar and hunt. Interesting, we thought. However, when it comes to eagles, am just happy to be able to get a photo of one with it's eyes showing : ) and some definition in it's white head feathers. We have been to the Bluff area, where the eagles soar in the thermals, but they have been so high in the sky that the photos haven't been very successful so far. But will keep trying with all possibilities.

Another nice Eagle shot Alandra! I like the way the light is hitting his chest. It might just be me, but it sure would be nice if that guy would spend a little time in a tree huh? The power poles just seem out of place with such a majestic bird. It is still a beautiful capture though :-). Don
