About This Image

The image of this dragonfly was taken in some wetlands near the Great Salt Lake in Utah. I rented a Sigma 500mm telephoto lens and was out practicing with it. I was trying to photograph birds, but there weren't many around so this dragonfly was kind enough to pose for me.

This version was cropped from 3000x2000 down to 1800x1600 to effectively 'zoom' in on the dragonfly a little more. It was about 20 feet from me when I took its picture.
