Doug this is amaising the colour and detail of the dragonfly is clear and vibrant.

Hi Busy Mom, Thank you for your kind words. The detail is the result of the Canon 180mm Macro lens. Canon's "L" series professional lenses are expensive but worth the cost.

I believe you have a Flame Skimmer here. There's a great little guide for damsels and dragons called Beginner's Guide to Dragonflies by Blair Nikula, Jackie Sones and the Stokes. It's a Stokes Guide.
