I like the photo just the way it is. The size of the Sailor against the backdrop of boxes emphizes a feeling of loneliness.

Thanks Mary for your critique. It was a really sunny day and the port was full of boats, ships, people, vintage cars and military vehicles. Perhaps he was escaping away for a different view of it all. The colour version is lovely too with the constrasts of the wood and white sailors suit.

This realy is a wonderful picture. To me, it is the proportion and black and white which makes it so powerful. His expression too makes you want to know more!

Nice capture Mel, and I don't think it matters having so much of the boxing showing. It emphasises the size of the stack.

Thanks Alandra, I do feel cropping some of the top will help it's visual impact. I hope this sailor didn't mind me taking his picture, I'm sure he knew I was.
