Beautiful image. If it was used to practice bombing runs, then that explains the castle-like towers.

Hi Bruce. Yes you are right this dam was used by the RAF Dam Buster for practice runs.

Beautifully composed and executed. The first thing that came to mind when I saw the picture was the book and movie "The Dam Busters", the account of development of means to bomb German dams in WWII. Could this dam have been used for practice runs for the Lancaster bombers? It physically resembles the dams in the movie. Bruce
