Thanks Jas for looking in and the info on the plant, I have never grown it here I think there was a white one in my grandmothers garden when she was alive, I have the feeling that she cut it out once they realised it was so poison.

What a gorgeous bloom; lovely sharp image and such delicate colouring. I think you have the correct name and spelling Lorraine, but there are also Brugmansia, which have very similar flowers to the Datura; both known as Angel's Trumpets (common name).

Thanks so much Whittler, Its a very pretty flower, not one that you see so much in gardens these days. it has poison propertys in it that is known to give people hallucinations, thats if they are very lucky, at the least they become seriously ill. if they survive it's the plant that keeps giving for the rest of there life we were told. Beautiful flower with a nasty bite to it.
