You must have very clean windows! My window filter is used to simulate fog!! Great shot of the bird though, and I really like the splashes of red.

Hey Don, Thanks and glad you liked my photo. I don't think it gets so cold here that the heat distortion would show up. Cold to us here in the desert is 40 degrees lol..

Thanks Carol.. My windows are way to noisy, I have to open them then freeze out the house, then the wife yells at me. Thanks also Alex, glad you liked my latest try at bird hunting. I got a good giggle reading your message while having a peanut butter and jelly sandwich lol.. Really.

Very nice shot Alan! I like the window effect a lot on this one. I'm finding that I get a lot of heat distortion when shooting through an open window in this cold now, better to leave them closed :-). This is a nice capture of the finch. Don

Alan this bird is beautiful, great photo if your real quiet and sneaky you can open the windows sometimes. Carol
