No, the glass isn't illuminated. It has various shades of blue. There are mirrored pieces...both regular silver mirror and blue mirror. This photo doesn't really capture the blue mirror well...glass, and especially glass with mirror, is very hard to photograph.

very beautiful work! love it. Is the glass illuminated from behind? Love the silvery look of the mirrored pieces, at least, believe that's what they are.
