About This Image

We got a chance to go to one of the prettiest places you can find in Ohio last Thurs and Fri. Hocking Hills state park. We had a great time staying with friends in an old cabin built in 1860. We were hoping to catch the leaves in peak, but it looked like we might have been about a week early. This is Cedar falls, none of the falls are what I'd call large, but they are all beautiful. Thanks for looking, don

I'm generally not a fan of long exposures for waterfalls, as I prefer to see some of the dramatic movement of the water captured. But in this case it works perfectly. A truly beautiful image.

You got a nice buttery looking shot of the falls. Beautiful! I've heard that Hocking Hills is a wonderful place. There is a portion of Buckeye trail named after the mother of a friend of mine..Grandma Gatewood (the mother), who was the first woman to hike the entire Appalachian trail at the age of 71. She also led the first "winter hike", an event at Hocking Hills State Park.
