the cats love to scratch this poor old tree stump, once they have done that they snooch all over it, must be a smell about it they like

Thankyou for looking in, shes an old cat now, even though she dosent look it, and a great old mouser, I'd just prefer she didn't bring them "all" home to show me,

nice looking cat, - have read that they scratch on gates etc, to leave their scent on things, so that other cats will know they are there. One of our cats really did a number on one of the cedar posts on our back sundeck, scratching on the post all the time
