Calendula's are old garden plants, they were widely grown as a kitchen herb but is now used as a summer-flowering annual.
Flowers from late May to mid September, colours range from creams, lemon, orange and mahogany.
Any reasonable soil will so - thrives in sun or partial shade.
Also known as English marigolds.
