Nice draping flower shot Pelotz,we have a purple variety here in New Zealand at least in the North Island and it seems to over-winter here in Auckland,pruning can be tricky with it's thorns but covers fences and decks well.Always pleasant to see.

these are so pretty. this reminds me of when I was at Mazatlan, Mexico, many years ago, saw many of these blooming there that January : ) In English we call this plant Bougainvillea. Here in British Columbia, Canada, we can buy the plants in various colours, -- this same pink, yellow, orange and red, but they don't overwinter outside, as far as I know at least. We've never had any of them, but have admired them many times.
