anne - Mar 22, 2008 11:43 AM EDT A beautiful bobcat and I am glad it was not me it was after - even though it is beautiful. We find scarey things in Nature fairly often. *g* Great shot of the bobcat though.
Guest - Dec 23, 2007 01:56 AM EDT I see there are lots of questions about this photo. The bobcat did not kill the deer - but found it and utilized it. They hunt small animals, like rabbits and mice. And they are not dangerous to humans. I believe a lynx is somewhat larger.
Guest - Aug 18, 2007 03:40 AM EDT Beautiful wildlife image. Looks great against the snow and textured log. Well done.
Guest - May 14, 2007 03:51 AM EDT have only just seen this one. Wonderful colours here. Is Bobcat and Lynx the same animal? When we first came to Canada, I saw a Lynx on a tree branch while walking alone on a country road in the Cariboo district of BC, Canada. It had tufts on its ears and seemed to have a sort of "grin" on its face. It didn't make any move to get off the tree branch. Didn't realize they were big enough to kill a deer. Did I read someplace that they are becoming an endangered species?

Guest - Mar 15, 2007 08:57 PM EDT What a wonderful photo op. It would certainly be exciting to have a Bobcat in my backyard. What part of the country is this taken in? Great shot.

Guest - Mar 15, 2007 07:02 PM EDT An excellent shot! Are these cats dangerous? (to people, I mean - they're obviously not very good for deer!)
