About This Image

The blackbird on the cattail was taken at the Great Salt Lake Shorelands Preserve near Layton, UT. I cropped it from it's usual 3000x2000 to 600x900.

Thanks Mary. Today was my first real attempt at photographing birds. I was using my brother's 55-200mm lens, so I had to crop it down a lot to get the bird to a decent size in the frame.

Good shot of the Red-Winged Blackbird and cattail. The blackbird adds interest to the single cattail and both stand out against the blurred background.
