somehow missed this one, Alex. Great capture, lovely and sharp image. It has a bit of a nuthatch appearance, as far as its shape and beak go, but have never seen one of these birds around here. very cute whatever it is.

Thanks for the great comments Alfresco,Anne and Ikka,I am pretty sure it isn't a zebra(LOL),so I'll call it a black and white warbler since I have had other warblers around this year.

What a darling little bird. Something about the wings, maybe, throws one off scent of the Black and White Warbler. Maybe must way the bird is sitting. But a wonderful picture!!

Nice, shatp image! I've never seen one in person, but our Audubon bird book agrees with Jas that it's a Black and White Warbler.

This is a very 'striking' bird and I agree, Jailbird is a very apt description. It has the shape of an English wren but I think it may be a black and white warbler??

Thanks for the comment Talsi,I don't know what it is,I thought it might be akin to the Pine Siskin but it is so black.Then I noticed the large ankle bracelets and figured it was a jailbird.lol
