This flower picture is ok, but it's lacking some zeal in my opinion. The focal point seems the be the center of the flower, which is also in the center of the picture. This lowers it's overall interest level. A person once described this to me in a way that made a lot of sense, so hopefully this will help you too. He said that we naturally start looking at an image in the center of the picture. If the main subject is also there, our eyes and brains won't travel anywhere else on the picture. This makes the overall interest level decrease - nothing to explore. It's sort of like that cop that says in his deep monotone, "There's nothing to see here, folks. Move it along." A few ways to improve this is to take the picture from a different angle or crop differently. Hopefully that helps. -Brian
