About This Image

This sweet little sparrow was spashing about in the bird bath. There were times the little bird just stood still in the water,before spashing once again. I had such fun watching it. I took this capture through my kitchen window that was open,but still had the screen.
Tomorrow the temperatures will drop to the point I can take out the screen and get a crisper capture of the little birds that visit my back yard. I like the soft look about this capture as this is young bird and it gives a storybook look to the picture.

Thank you Karen for your nice words in regard to the little bird. Yes, you are right. I stood and watched this little one stand, dance, and twirl about as it bathed this day. I took a good deal of captures, but haven't put them on the site as you can hardly see the bird through the water flying about.

I love watching sparrow in the birdbath. They seem to be so happy and sometimes look as if they are smiling. We, too, have the birdbath outside the kitchen window, although they fly away if they detect movement.
