Pine tree in Bastrop State Park. These trees are 80-100 miles west of where loblolly pines are found in East Texas, and are called the Lost Pines.

Thank you, Alovely. I liked the color and texture of the bark, too, and the way the branches seemed to swirl around the trunk. Although it was 100 degrees, the trees did provide some welcome shade.
