About This Image

Captured in color and converted to greyscale in Photoshop. Cropped slightly to give balance to the spines of the cactus. Printed on Epson velvet fine art paper with black only ink on an Epson 2200 printer. Image size 4200x3300 at 300 dpi.

Thanks...after I converted this to B&W, I went in between each needle and the spines and used the Eraser tool and the Clone tool to get rid of everything but the needles. It took a while!

Have long admired this photo and thought I should leave a comment on how much I like it. Wonderful, how you can isolate the needles with such extreme contrast.

I love this, Frank. The geometry and architecture of cacti is so special...I wish I knew Photoshop! Looking through your photos, you and I have much the same eye.

This is a scary looking plant but yet it seems very unique as a plant and I think I would very much like to have a few in my own home
