About This Image

this is the blind mother raccoon's baby. It's using it's front paws here to "wash" something, they like to play with small stones that they find in the water, and they wash everything. As a result, there's a bit of movement in the front paws in this image.

thank you both, Lorraine and Karen for the nice comments. Yes Karen, the blind mama is always with her baby, looking after it as best she is able. I like to try to capture the flowers along with the birds and animals in my photos, as think it makes a bit of a difference. I should remove that one flower stem from this image (near the baby's ear) but am using a different editing program, so am not quite as adept with the new one as I was at using Paint Shop Pro, so didn't take the time to remove the stem.

Not only a lovely wildlife close-up, but the composition including the flowers is beautiful. Was the mother with her baby?
