Marmite is a beef extract and very high in iron, our jack calls it black on toast, great for pregnant or lactating mums and anyone wanting good iron levels, can add to soups if you find it too strong.

Marmite is so cute, and so is the name. Continuing with the "Marmite Topic" :) -- believe it is a yeast extract, flavoured with vegetables and lots of salt. Will have to check the label on our jar, to make sure. North Americans, at least, most Canadian born Canadians can't stand it and wonder how on earth Brits can eat it LOL.

Thanks km yes distant relation,Steve we have a spread called vegemite here and vegetarians stick it to their toast so I think there is some animal fat or product, the kitten has been rehomed and probably new owners have changed it now,so true Don,thanks for the comments and thoughts, regards Vince

Cool capture. There isn't hardly anything cuter than a kitten. Very nice shot! Don

Great shot! I think that Marmite is a vegetarian thing though, so I doubt if it contains beef! Perhaps you should call your cat Bovril!

Adorable kitty picture with those beautiful eyes. Is this one related to the other kittens you have photographed?
