I took this photo at the TV Land unveiling of the Andy & Opie statue in Mount Airy (Mayberry) North Carolina. I got a lot of shots of the cast members that were in attendance but this is by far my favorite.

Ernest T passed away I think a few years ago. We have a Mayberry Days celebration in Mount Airy every year.

The show and Andy bring back lots of memories for me too.What ever happened to Ernest T Bass?Mr. Griffith looks in fine shape.Thanks for this bit of nostalgia.

Met him once as a child along with Phil Silvers and Danny Thomas. All were making their shows (I think) on separate sets in the same building. They broke for lunch and we sat with them hanging out. My father had connections in the Television industry and got us a few minutes privately with them. They were all very nice. Your shot brings back memories. Thanks
