About This Image

This is the railway track that runs next to the patea river. It is only used a couple of times a day mainly by the Milk train and the odd freight train. On a still night we can hear the train it is wonderful

Another very evocative image Tania. There's a rather nostalgic and slightly melancholy feel to this image, as if there's been no train for a long time, and probably won't be another very soon either! The composition of the curving tracks is very good and leads the eye into and out of the picture. Good shot.

very pleasing image, Tania, makes me think back to many railway lines, especially one that ran behind my grandma's place in England, we used to stand on the tall fence and wave to the engineers as the train passed, (my cousins and I) and they always waved back to us.
