About This Image

Taken just after sunrise yesterday morning, this is the second coating of snow in 10 days, only seems like a few weeks ago that there was not a speck of snow to be seen on the mountain.

Thankyou talsi for looking in, it's being quite frosty here the last week or so,, more snow is predicted for the weekend.

Nice image - I really like the way the light is hitting the side of the mountain.

Thanks Pinetree3 for looking in, maybe you will make it down under one day, we might look small on the world map of places but I'd say you would want to stay for about 3 weeks to see both Islands well, hope you make it one day.

Thankyou Tania, it dosent matter what time of the day you photograph this mountain its always different and with weather changes the effects are beautiful for a fine day to warning of rough weather to come..

Lorraine this is one scene I realy miss now we are not living in Taranaki Beautiful capture. One of the best yet I think. the morning lighting adds that extra punch.

Thankyou Jas, those days are great, but we just have heavy cloud around at the moment and a wind from the south, everythings cold, we might be in for a really cold winter.

The snow-capped mountain looks very pretty with the sun shining on it. I just love days that are bright and sunny but with a slight chill to the air. :)
