A Brown Hummer

Hi Carol, Ann, and Alex. Thanks very much for the congrats :) Carol I have been seeing them or the one off and on any time of day, with it so hot I think they hang around my mom's little bird bath. I hear ya Ann about them knowing when you don't have your camera, this one has been buzzing by me for days now LOL.. They are small and thin, but they sure can take the heat. What I noticed is you can't hear there wings like the ones in Arizona. Hey Alex, I'm for sure watching all of the brush and trees :) These hummers are hard to catch like the dragsters, maybe even harder LOL..

Congrats on your hummer shot,now that you are hooked on hummers you will be scanning the bushes everywhere for them.lol Capturing them is sorta like trying to capture a wheelie off the starting line at the drags.lol

Alan, you have captured a very nice hummingbird. For some reason it looks longer and thinner then the ones I see. (smiling) Carol, I have a hummingbird that is teasing me this year. It is in my garden often and when I get my camera, it's gone. :-( So Alan, congrats to you for getting your first hummingbird. Very enjoyable composition.

Thanks Mary! Glad you liked it... I got so excited I thought I was shaking the camera and I had to shoot into the sun but I did not care LOL..
