About This Image

I was lucky enough to capture a few lightning shots with my Sony H1,during a thunder shower tonight.
I didn't have time to set up my tri-pod so these were hand held
I used the A pre-set Shutter 8,Ap.2.8,and focus inf.

Thanks for the great comments Mary,Golda,Don and Cindy,I'm glad you enjoyed it.Some of the lightning bolts were quite white,and some of them were more a purple color,I don't know why.Maybe the rain influenced the colors.

Great lightning capture Alex! We had the same idea tonight. A storm moved through earlier today and I got a couple daylight shots that were so so. Then tonight about midnight we had another storm and I caught about 7 decent ones. It was the best lightning luck I've had ever. If I was any luckier, I believe I would have been struck dead. Your sky really has a cool purple look to it, great work! Don

Great capture of the lightning bolt, especially hand held.
