DAD! Give It A Rest

This is a crazy capture. I love the look on the doe's face and the fawn watching the doe and buck interact. This is one huge buck, he is the big boy at Deerassic park Whitetail education center. His rack is still in velvet and growing and already estimated to have aprox. a 37" spread. You can see how large he is compared to the doe. Thanks for looking. Don

A great moment captured perfectly. It reminds me of Bambi when he meets his father. Disney would approve!

Yes, it is a wonderful photo!

Yes, it would be great to see the fence removed. But, Don you got the interaction of the family of deer. And that makes all the difference. Well done.

He's even more impressive when you see him with the doe and the fawn, Don. This is an excellent image - and I think the fence belongs there due to the fact that he is captive - no wonder he was able to grow so large. A beautiful overall composition. Vicki

Beautiful shot - and don't worry about the fence. It's really special. I'm going back to the cat sanctuary and hope I can get these cats somewhere where I can photograph them against a solid wall.

I love this.

Don this is a amaising capture. the interaction between the 3 tells many different stories. On the fence I dont think it stands out much at all. You have faded it into the background nicely.

Thanks everyone for the kind words!

Beverly, I agree that the fence does take away from the capture, it is distracting. They have some very large areas to roam in, many acres are fenced in for them to have plenty of room. But, this time of year when they are about to go into rut, the big bucks are seperated into smaller areas to keep them from fighting one another. I thought about cloning out the fence, but they are what they are. Captive deer. Thanks again, Don

Just a wonderful shot - I love the interaction shown between them. Is there some way you can get rid of that fence?

Beautiful photo Don... Great capture of them having fun. That is one large and gorgeous buck. Thank you for sharing this photo, the deer don't like it here in the heat.
