Silver Thread Falls, Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania

Before reaching the Dingmans Falls, we passed this 80 foot horsetail cascade, slide-type waterfall appropriately named Silver Threads Falls.

Unlike Dingmans Falls which slides merrily over a sandstone face, this waterfall has carved its own path through the sandstone.

I used a two-frame stitching to include the top of the fall from this vantage. Another four-frame image is more difficult to see on TLF, but the top is almost to the top in this version - you may need a magnifying mouse to see it all!
