This was taken at Dead Fish Pier in Willoughby Ohio. This is Lake Erie, one of the five Great Lakes. Once in awhile some underwater disturbance like an earthquake causes the water to slam into the pier. The result is one spectacular wave after another. Sometimes it is hard to remember, it is just a lake.
