Berlin Lake Recreation Area, Ohio

The colors of this vista intrigued me - you can see how far the water has dropped from the lack of rain - even the tree roots - once submerged - are almost cruelly exposed now.

Hi again, Anne - you're having way too much fun traveling down "Memory Lane" with me. I thought it might have been you who visited this photo - it's such a terrific campground. We enjoyed it immensely and met some terrific people there.

My kids used to go swimming in Berlin Lake. What wonderful memories your picture brings back. I hope it rains soon and they are back to normal. I very much hope they got some of the rain we did. A poignant shot - well done!! Thank you.

Thank you, Alandra. There was a lot of haze that evening that intrigued me.

Thank you, Gary and Carol. Right now, we're hunkered down in Columbia, MS, on the Pearl River - about 100 miles due north of New Orleans. The Rita rains are just starting up here, but the Pearl River is even lower than Lake Berlin was in the above photo. Try to figure that one out!!!

You've done a beautiful job with this. I love the framing. I hope the rains come soon.
