Last time I was near here, we got lost because snow covered our trail. Luckily, we made it out alive. There have been many who have gotten lost in the high Uintas and never made it back. Today, however, we didn't have to brave the snow and ice. It was the bright sun, combined with the high altitudes, that we had to worry about. It's easy to get dehydrated in these conditions. This meadow is near Bald Mountain on the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway about a mile or two along a trail to Bench and Notch lake.
