On the contrary Mike, I think your critical views are very interesting! On this particular shot, as I explained I was quite torn between removing the building and leaving it. And it looks like everyone else is too!

I was very interested that you both suggested removing the building. I had exactly the same debate with myself, and very nearly did exactly what you are proposing. In the end I didn't because I wanted the shot to be "grounded" by some reference to what was around it to reinforce the fact that this was a straight capture with a low angle of view, rather than a more abstract cut-out. I also liked the fact that the building provides some warming colour contrast to the cold tones of the bronze. But this was a close call, and I fully take your point about the building's distraction. On balance, given your reactions, I suspect I took the wrong decision on this one!

Lovely bronze! Have always loved the "boy & dolphin" tales. Believe the book Anne mentions is "This Rough Magic" by Mary Stewart, - read many of her books years ago, and would like to read some again. Think there is mention of dolphins in that book.

This picture reminds me - for some odd reason - of a Mary Stewart book of years ago - written about the youth - boys AND girls - doing tricks on the back of the a Bull, I believe. Fantastic Athletes All! Great Shot
