Spring Thaw

An old dam and race, next to a former gypsum mine/plaster factory. The dam probably dates to the 19th century, and provided power to the factory. The Oatka Creek is a normally placid trout stream, and often nearly dries up in the summer, but in early spring it fills with snow melt, and in some places the rapids makes for some interesting canoeing.
