I just found this spider outside my front door last night and cought it in a tupperware container. I saw it had bumps all over its back and they started moving and jumping off and I realized it was the babies! I have never seen a spider this big in real life before. It's amazing!

You probably already have them inside your house, especially if you have a basement! Wolf spiders are common, both indoors and out, but harmless. They wander a lot and explore nooks and crannies for food, so they get in under doors or open windows, small cracks in weather seals, etc. The mother in this picture is on the small side, about 1/2". The majority of wolf spider species are around that size. A few species get larger. You might put the larger ones outside if you find them in your home, but you can safely leave the smaller ones alone. I live in the country and have dozens of them running around my basement. Never had a problem. They eat a lot of insect pests I don't mind NOT seeing in the house, including the larvae of carpet beetles.

I just found this spider on my front porch. I caught it then sprayed it w/ bug spray( Black Tag )so i could look up what kind it was and YUP thats her spiderlings and all. As soon as i sprayed her like 50 babies flew off her back, thank god i had her in a covered glass or i would have a bunch of em around my house. But its good to know shes not poisonous.

I just found this exact spider (hatchings and all) in my window, i swear its the biggest spider I've ever seen, so i look it up on the net, found out it was a wolf spider, go get some bug spray, just to come back and find it gone. I hope its hatchling dont find there way into my home.

Very creepy. I could go into combat, but I couldn't stand to see a spider. Go figure.
