Snow Chair - have a seat :)

patio chair covered in snow. Night shot. I kept watching the snow gradually filling the seat of the chair, wondering whenEVER the snow was going to stop LOL. Finally it let up a bit and I went out front with the camera and got a few images.

We don't usually get snow in this area til early February, and never usually this much.

thanks Don and Tania, glad you got a smile from this one. Tania, there were some power outages during the snowstorms, some areas were quite badly affected for several days. But we were lucky and only lost power 2 or 3 times, for quite short periods. We have natural gas fireplaces, that are more like small furnaces, one on main floor and one in basement, so at least don't have to worry about getting cold if power goes out. We kept boiling the kettle to make sure at least we had some hot water on hand for tea, lol, incase the power went out again.

Alandra this is a fun shot. Lorraine pointed out a good point do the power and phone lines handle the weight of the snow or are they underground. Last winter we had a large area of the South Island without power or phone as the lines colapsed with the weight.

Theres alot of snow in this shot, it looks pretty but the damage it can do to the trees and phone or power lines is terrible.
