Shy Deer Peeking Through the Trees

I can't believe I'm finally back! Between frequent power outages and an unhappy computer I've been limited to occasional stops online using Mike's computer!

I had to break down and get a new camera as my Panasonic Lumix died. In the meantime I filled a memory stick on the Sony for two weeks which I finally transferred to my computer today after picking it up from the repair shop this morning.

This deer was the first image on the new camera - I rather enjoyed the light play from the shadows and am thrilled to finally be able to share her with all of you.

Thank you, Alandra. For my primary camera I'm considering a Nikon or Canon. I'm avidly reading all the entries of our TLF family for insights! Madeson's computer acted up too? Mine was in the power cord. For awhile I was worried I'd lose my most recent images when I couldn't get the battery to charge properly. At that time I couldn't use it on AC at all. I feel like my 'buddy' just returned home again after a long journey!!! Vicki

how beautiful she is! Thanks for sharing, Vicky. sorry your Lumix quit on you. Which camera are you going to be getting next? Madeson just had some type of problem with his computer also, but it's fixed now.

Thank you Alex. These deer are a constant surprise - they are so calm around people. Vicki

Hi lorraine. I'm still not used to their friendliness. Once we get down off the mountain they disappear. All the visitors enjoy their presence here. Vicki

Hi Mary - I'm glad you enjoyed this one. This is still going to be a 'fallback' camera - but it is capturing some good motion images. It's good to be back and visiting with old friends again! Vicki

Nice capture Vicki. I like the filtering light spotlighting the one eye.

I'm glad you are back on line, with a new camera too...congratulations and hope you get many good shots with it.
