Cook Strait

This is as we were heading into Cook Strait which is the channel of water that divides the North and South Islands of New Zealand. We were off to do some fishing on a little boat. We stayed with family that live not far from here. Up the road from them and around this area is where they filmed the movie King Kong.

Dud, this is a beautiful place. I don't live in this area though as its about 3-4 hours away. I live inland but the ocean is only 20 mins away. If you have ever looked at a map of New Zealand, this is the channel of water between the North and South Islands. New Zealand sure is a beautiful place and I'm so proud to live here.

Thanks Carol. I was able to appreciate the sights at this stage as I wasn't feeling sick. Half an hour later though - well thats a different story :-)
