Karen, sorry I forgot to reply about the tartan. Scottish, am pretty sure, at least on the Bride's side, which was the MacKenzie tartan (a green tartan). The mens' shoes do look like dance slippers, I agree. Had never realized the lace tied up around the ankles before, either. I really enjoyed seeing the colourful kilts and other items of the outfits. Even the little page boy was wearing the smallest kilt and jacket etc that I'd ever seen

It was a bit tricky to "catch" everyone, as people were moving about so much outside, after the ceremony, so I was just snapping images and hoping for the best. It's the first time I've taken any wedding pics with this equipment.
