Raining Along The Mountains

During the summer we have a couple months of monsoon weather. It is hot outside and the storms usually follow the mountains. This is a common sight and we hope the rain comes our way but most of the time it passes us by. When it does rain it comes down in buckets for about ten minutes. This is the view from the end of my house looking west.

Hi Beverly and Janice.. Thanks very much for your nice comments :) It does look a lot worse than it is. We love it here when it rains and so does the cactus...

Hi Ann, Karen, Carol, and Alex :) "Thanks" for dropping by my photo and for your wonderful comments. I hear ya about the rain Karen, it's been 97 to 107 here and if I remember it rained about 15 minutes here back in June. This storm just followed the mountains and not a drop at my house. Yea Alex you can see a long ways out here, no pretty trees, smog, or fog to block the view LOL..

Great weather action capture.. I wish we would see something like that. We have now had 40 days of 100plus degree temps and no rain. The drought has begun impacting wildlife and many rivers have gone dry.
