Baby Raccoon

another capture of the baby raccoon, who has the mama that is blind. As of today (24th June) they are still around, as hubby saw them both twice, but I missed them today.

captured from the open front window while it and its mama were at the water bath/fountain on the front patio again.

Hi Ikka, good to hear from you, thankyou for the nice comments, happy you enjoy the little "story" here. I agree about the social touch of these animals. Like I said to my hubby yesterday, - I wonder how many people are aware that this happens with these wild animals?, and we are able to watch this happening right here. I thank you also for your private message. I did not know if you are away on vacation, so wasn't sure about replying. I hope you see this.

thanks Alex. We have another (younger) Mama also, who has 3 fluffy babies, who are younger than this little one. They rush away to hide whenever they see me :) cute to watch. It's sad tho', as most of them don't survive. That younger mama is the one who is in the image from last summer, "sunning herself" :) Thank goodness the blind mama only has the one youngster

What a gorgeous photo of the very cute baby raccoon. Great composition and colors. I bet if they could talk they would be thanking you for the nice water :)
