Paramecium Division

I have seen many pictures of the division of protozoa from one creature into two, but had never actually witnessed the event from start to finish until this evening. It was extremely fascinating. The Paramecium at first split its nucleus, then began constricting its middle. The whole event took about 15 minutes and resulted in two creatures where there once was one.

Thanks for viewing!!
