This very small creature was pinned between a strand of alge and a huge, very active Stentor igneus. This new scope, with its more sophisticated condensor and lighting system allows us to more clearly see features such as the cilia which cover the entire body. Some are used for movement and some to direct food (bacteria) into its mouth.
