Thank you, Talsi - it's hard to imagine that this was once the main road through this area!

It's a great road for bikers, hikers and letting dogs have a good run - but there's water all around and the potential for gators is always present, so some caution must be used (say I while happily ambling along the now abandoned highway - alone, with my camera!!!!)
