This is a painting showing a devotee moving to take Darshan ( Say a prayer and pay respects) at the Shivaji Park Memorial of Dr. B.R.Ambedkar. He was born in a low caste family but went on to write India's Constitution after Independance.He saw to it that the underprivilaged got their due by ensuring a reservation for them in education and jobs. After being denied an entry into a Hindu temple he along with millions of followers converted to Buddhism. On 6 December every year. thousands turn up and pay their respects at his shrine. This was a lone man walking for a Darshan.
