This is a tree that was in my old neighborhood in Lockport, Louisiana. I often wanted to take its picture and finally did when I was on my way down there to get some King Cake from the Cajun Pecan House. I used to imagine it was a hanging tree. It has been through a lot, including a fire, and it still hangs on for life, even if just barely.
