Leaves carry us home

This is a combination of two photographs; one of sheet music and one of me in trees looking for a horse!

The trees I can see right now as I look out the window; the song I can hear as I write. Peaceful but with "sparks of life"! An ideal combination. The voice I hear is Willie Nelson. His enthusiasm and ability as guitarist, writer and singer over so many years is an inspiration. The fact that this lasts, made me link a song he sings with nature- always there, but never quite the same. The transparency is to represent two levels of the songs he writes and sings: details specific, underlying themes universal. Hence, they grow with age.

Willies songs make me remember words, see an image and be haunted by the sounds. This is the nearest I could get to showing it!

Reminds me very much of these special "plaques" or Memory Blocks that I love, - by a BC Artist - Sid Dickens, he has a site online. We have several of his Memory Blocks, one title being "Sisters", which comes to mind immediately, that I bought as I have 2 daughters. He also incorporates music notes/symbols into some of his designs
