Silver Lake Bull Moose

This young bull moose swam (or walked depending on how deep the lake was) across Silver Lake near Brighton Utah and found some bushes to munch on for dinner. We were a little too close to it for comfort, but had some trees and other obstacles between us and the moose, which would have made it really hard for him to get at us if he wanted to. I didn't use a flash for fear of upsetting the animal, even though in this situation, it probably would have helped reduce some of the shadows created by its antlers.

very nice image of the moose in his natural habitat. It was thoughtful of you not to frighten it with the flash.

We watched one climb out of the lake and get tangled in a clothesline in someone's back yard, lol (years ago). Nothing was hurt, except the clothes line lol

Oh, my goodness to think of being that close to the bull moose. Wow!! My hands would have shook too much to have taken the picture. He is a beauty though.
