Montour Falls, New York, 3

: Montour Falls, New York, 3; I wasn't sure if I'd get the full height of this appealing waterfall and was thrilled to do so. The weather's still rather gloomy - but it also means fewer sightseers and more time for unhindered images such as this. I'm curious to know if the waterfall extends beyond the bridge at the top of this scene. Nice waterfall! The waterfalls at Tioga falls here in KY at Ft. Knox should be comparable to this one after a good rain. I'll be ready :)

Good morning, Beverly. It's funny. Even though I'm aware that this area is full of waterfalls which bring visitors from all over, I tended to think of a waterfall on the likes of Niagara or Michigan's Taquahemnon Falls.

We've been working every day since we arrived, so the only 'falls' I had experienced so far consisted of water runoff - and they're quite exceptional.

Yesterday was our first full day off, but with the gloomy day we decided to find local shopping places and areas we want to visit in a 50-mile circle route of the campground.

When we drove through the outskirts of Montour Falls I noticed the 'Business District' arrow. Imagine my stunned surprise when I saw this beautiful waterfall at the end of Main Street! We're just getting ready to head out to see some of the others - I'm excited! Vicki
